Important Walk Day Information

Registration Procedures:

Team Captains and/or participants should visit the Registration Tent to:
  • Turn in or Make a Donation (Cash/Check/Credit Card).
  • Pick up Champions for Cures wristbands for eligible walkers that have raised $100 or more.
  • The wristband gives participants access to pick up t-shirt and food
  • Survivors, regardless of fundraising level, may pick up a survivor shirt and white lantern in survivor row. 
  • Mobile registration will be available the night of the event.  All registered participants will receive Illuminated Lantern (Red – Supporters, White – Patients/Survivors, Gold – In Memory)
  • There is no need to visit registration if you are not turning in donations or collecting wristbands.
  • Top Teams and Sponsors over $10,000 may visit the Top Team Registration Line at Registration
Weather: 
The Walk will continue Rain or Shine.  We will not walk in hazardous conditions.  Check www.LightTheNight.org/txg for any event updates due to weather.
 
Walk Safety:
Please note the following guidelines for everyone's safety along the Walk Route.
  • No bicycles, skateboards or motorized children’s vehicles.
  • Wheelchairs, strollers and wagons are allowed, however please stay to the sides of the route to prevent any injury to others.
  • All guests planning to walk the 2-mile route must leave with the group.  No guests will be allowed onto the Walk route after the Tail Car has left for safety reasons.  
  • Out of courtesy to our guests, pets are strongly discouraged.
Survivors:
Be our guest! Survivors receive a special survivor t-shirt and white illuminated lantern regardless of fundraising. Survivors will have an opportunity to be recognized by joining us as part of our Survivor Circle Ceremony.  Please proceed to the survivor circle with your white lantern during the opening ceremony.  
 
Remembrance Pavilion:
All participants are invited to honor those we have lost to cancer as we take steps to fund cures in our new Remembrance Pavilion. Bring photos of your loved one to be displayed in the pavilion along with messages of remembrance and hope.
 
Mission Area:
Visit the Mission tent to learn more about LLS and visit with some of our pharma partners and national sponsors.

Champions for Cures:
We encourage EVERY participant to raise $100 or more to become a Champion for Cures.   Thank you for helping move the LLS mission to cure blood cancers forward!  Raise $100 or more to receive
  • A Light The Night T-Shirt
  • A wristband for food/beverage
    • Thanks to Olive Garden for donating the food

Wristband & T-Shirt Pick Up:
Save time! Don't stand in line on Walk night. Pick up your Shirts and Wristbands ahead of time. Also, you may drop off money collected from your fundraising efforts.
