I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in the summer of 2015. I went through three different rounds of chemo for a total on 35 treatments and then was told that I needed a bone marrow transplant.
I was unable to find a match and was devastated, but then learned I was eligible for a "Cord Blood" Transplant. Luckily Dr. Barker at MSKCC was able to take me on as a part of her study.
Here I am just over two years latter with completely new blood and another chance at life!
