NEW THIS YEAR! IMPORTANT INFORMATION, PLEASE READ:
For the safety of all attendees, guests will undergo a bag search and pass through a metal detector upon entering the ballpark. Please plan accordingly with your friends and family to get through the line.
Prohibited Items include: Outside food or beverages (Snacks and unopened beverages are okay), Animals (except certified service animals), Scooters or bikes (may enter but cannot be ridden inside the stadium), Fireworks, Weapons of any kind.
Who should check in at the Registrration Tent?
Only Team Captains and Individual walkers (participants who are not on a team) can check in at the Registration Tent. Team Captains will receive their Team Captain packets that will contain Lantern Vouchers (based on number of registered team members), Champion For Cures Wristbands (based on funds raised), Bright Lights Vouchers will also be in the envelope.
Team Captains: Please plan accordingly with your team members to distribute the Lantern Vouchers and/or Champion For Cures Wristbands.
Where do I turn in my donations?
All donations must be turned in at the Registration Tent upon entering the ballpark.
Where should I park?
Parking is complimentary inside Sutter Health Park (formerly Raley Field) lot!
Is this event kid friendly?
The Light The Night Walk is kid friendly. Kids will have the opportunity to meet Dinger, the River Cats Mascot, and are invited to enjoy the Sutter Health Park (formerly Raley Field) play structure located inside the ballpark.
How long is the walk?
The Sacramento Light The Night Walk is a noncompetitive 1.5 mile walk.
How do I get an illuminated lantern?
All REGISTERED walkers will receive an illuminated lantern. If you have friends/family/team members who are not registered yet, please visit www.lightthenight.org/sac to register before the walk! Have trouble registering, please contact your Light The Night Staff at 916-929-4720.
How do I get a Light The Night t-shirt?
All participants who fundraised $100+ are Champion For Cures and will receive a wristband to redeem their t-shirt at the t-shirt tent. Please be sure to connect with your team captains before the walk for a meeting spot to get your wristband and lantern voucher!
Where do Patients & Survivors go to pick up their lanterns and t-shirts?
All Patients and Survivors are Champions For Cures! We invite all Patients and Survivors to visit our Survivor Lounge to pick up your lantern, t-shirt and wristband to redeem complimentary food, generously sponsored by Texas Roadhouse.
We invite all patients and survivors to join us at the Circle of Survivor’s at Main Stage during the Opening Ceremony.
Will there be food?
Yes, all participants who fundraised $100+ are Champion For Cures and will receive a wristband to redeem food at the Food Station Sponsored by Texas Roadhouse! Please be sure to connect with your team captains before the walk for a meeting spot.
In addition, Golden Spike Concession Stand will be opened and you are welcome to purchase food and refreshments there.
Will water be available?
Yes, there will be a Hydration Station Sponsored by Abbey Flooring inside the Raley Field Concourse and one along the walk route.
Where are the restrooms?
Restrooms are located inside along the concourse.
Are dogs allowed?
Due to safety reasons, dogs are NOT allowed except for service animals.
Is the event handicap accessible?
Yes, the route is handicap accessible.
Are strollers and wagons allowed?
Yes, the walk route is stroller and wagon friendly!
Will there be fireworks?
We will have a Fireworks Finale generous sponsored by our Presenting Sponsor Sutter Health.
How do I redeem my fundraising recognition gift?
All walkers will receive their redemption certificate via email (from lightthenight@lls.org) 5-6 weeks after the walk with instructions on how to redeem your fundraising gift. Please note, Light The Night recognition gifts are not cumulative and participants mus be registered. Redemption certificates must be redeemed within four weeks. How do I submit a loved one’s photo for the Hall of Heroes or the Remembrance Pavilion?
Please submit the following information: Name, Photo of loved one, diagnosis, and indicate if it is “In Honor” or “In Memory” to Katherine.McDavid@lls.org by Friday October 25.
