At age seven, Grant was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). In December 2010, he was experiencing a loss of appetite, joint pain and a bloated stomach. After a routine check-up, Grant and his family were told to go to the hospital where an Oncologist would be waiting. It is very rare for a child to get CML but thanks to LLS funded research, Grant now manages his CML with 3-5 pills a day that he will take for the rest of his life to keep his CML in remission. Grant is now a happy 13-year-old who loves playing video games, baseball, basketball and golf.
