In February 2017 my world was flipped upside down as the ER doctor mumbled the words “I’m referring you to see an oncologist today”. I heard nothing more as I zoned out into a place of darkness. Being diagnosed with a type of cancer, unspecified B-Cell Lymphoma, which was rapid growing, was terrifying.
I had children and loved ones that depended on me and putting my life on hold for months, maybe years, as the doctor explained was not an easy pill for me to swallow. The things I went through, the pain I felt, the sadness that surrounded my loved ones for me was almost unbearable for me to take, but I knew if everyone was concerned for me I had to be the strong one.
I prayed and I fought and I cried and I bled and I suffered but God is guiding me down this dark path and I see the light.
