After receiving high-intensity chemotherapy for Burkitt's Leukemia, Joey went into remission. He has a wonderful outlook on life and even at his darkest time, his good spirit kept him smiling and staying positive.
Joey loves to surf, play soccer and baseball. He is a good student, loved by his peers and from his own personal experience hopes to be a pediatric oncologist one day.
