I was diagnosed with chronic lympocytic leukemia (CLL) on Saint Patrick's Day 2017.
I went to the hospital with complications of asthma due to the flu. The doctor decided to do blood work, and I'm glad he did. My white blood count was 79,000.
Currently, I don't need any treatment and my hematologist will monitor my lymph nodes, liver, spleen, and white blood count every three months.
I have so many plans for the future, dancing at my son's wedding, hearing a child call me mama, and growing old with the love of my life. For me, losing is not an option. I am ready to fight, fight, fight! I am a survivor!
