At 23 years old, "cancer" was just not part of my vocabulary. I was a fresh out of college, in a new job and just loving life. In the summer of 2015, I was given a diagnosis that would challenge that outlook. A simple chest X-ray revealed a mass that was identified as Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Now, into 2017, I can proudly say I am officially one year in remission from Lymphoma and currently couldn't be happier! That’s because I chose to never stopped being myself. Cancer is now my badge of courage. Even though you are battling a terrible disease you must always remember to never lose yourself in it. I may have had cancer but cancer never had me!
